We are able to pick up donated vehicles usually within 1-2 business days – at a time and place convenient for the donor. Same-day pickup can sometimes be arranged. Pickup and towing is always free for the donor. Accepted vehicle donations may include: Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Vans, Motorcycles, Boats & Other Watercraft, RVs & Campers, ATVs, Non-Commercial Airplanes, Snowmobiles, Golf Carts, Motorized Wheelchairs, Riding-Lawn Mowers, Tractors, Farm equipment, and More! We accept vehicles in most – but not all – conditions. Vehicles can be either running or non-running.

Vehicle donations made to Arlington Free Clinic are tax deductible. AFC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. The best practice is to consult with a tax professional on how to maximize your  tax deduction since every car donation and tax situation is unique. In general, the IRS limits the tax deduction to the gross proceeds from the sale of the car, truck or other vehicle. Charitable contributions must be itemized on Schedule A of Form 1040 to qualify. If the gross proceeds exceed $500, Form 1098C “Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats, and Airplanes” and Form 8283 “Non Cash Charitable Contributions” must also be completed and attached. Forms 1098C and 8283 are required to be provided to the donor within 30 days of the sale of the vehicle.

What are the tax benefits of donating my vehicle?
When you donate your vehicle, you may deduct the fair market value up to $500. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you may deduct the full selling price. After the vehicle is sold, you will receive a letter to be used for tax purposes.

Explain the donation process.
The process is simple. First, call the 24/7 Vehicle Donation Phone Line at (866) 829-2918 and tell the agent you would like to donate to Arlington Free Clinic. Next, the company will schedule a pickup of your vehicle. Lastly, they will mail you your tax deduction information.

How long does it take to donate my vehicle online/by phone?
It takes less than 5 minutes to complete your donation online or by phone. Just be sure to know your vehicle’s year, make, model, and where the vehicle is located.

When will my vehicle be picked up?
We will arrange for your vehicle to be picked up (for free) usually within 1-2 business days at a time that is convenient for you. We always call you 1-hour before to confirm pick-up.
