Practice Spotlight – Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group: Cardiology

VHC CardiologyVHC Physician Group: Cardiology has provided comprehensive cardiology care in their office at Virginia Hospital Center since 2015. On a day-to-day basis, the five-physician team of Drs. Jeremy Bock, Matthew Lucks, R. Preston Perrin, Hassan Tabandeh, and Eric Thorn treat patients with heart conditions such as arrhythmia and congestive heart failure using either medical treatment to manage symptoms and threats to health, or special procedures to physically remove blockages and resolve heart problems.

Providing pro bono care to Arlington Free Clinic patients has always been an important commitment of the practice— something that gives Dr. Bock and his colleagues a lot of satisfaction: “Being able to treat patients in need of care, regardless of their socioeconomic status, is what really matters to us as doctors.”

It’s always best to treat medical conditions early, before a problem becomes a crisis. Arlington Free Clinic provides an avenue for delivering this early access to free care for those in need and this leads to better health outcomes and a healthier community. Without this care, our entire community suffers—not only those who are sick. “Having systems and processes in place that connect our practice and Virginia Hospital Center to Arlington Free Clinic enables my colleagues and me to help people, regardless of their financial situation— and this makes working at VHC Physician Group: Cardiology even more rewarding.”
