The Power of Pink strives to overcome barriers to care by supporting local organizations that provide breast health education, screenings, and treatment to women in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, regardless of their ability to pay. Founded in 2011 by Karen Leder in recognition of her sister Jill, a two-time breast cancer survivor, The Power of Pink raises funds through fitness and wellness programming that promotes whole body health.

100% of all funds go directly to beneficiary organizations that help women most in need in our region: Arlington Free Clinic, Breast Care for Washington DC, Mary’s Center, Mercy Health Clinic.

Approximately 150 individuals participate in Power of Pink events each year to celebrate the power of health, wellness, friendship, community, and giving back to those in the greatest need.

Care funding has never been more critical. Grappling with health and economic barriers imposed by COVID-19 on top of day-to-day struggles, the DMV’s most vulnerable populations are facing higher hurdles than ever before. Your support directly benefits organizations rapidly pivoting to provide essential services in this time of need.
