Oral Health is an essential component of a person’s wellbeing, affecting the ability to eat, speak, socialize, secure employment and attain overall health. Many Arlington Free Clinic patients haven’t had oral health care in years – some have never been to a dentist.
Arlington Free Clinic launched its Oral Health Program in 2015, and in the program’s first six months of operation, learned just how great the need for dental care is. To accomplish all of the work needed to get patients’ mouths healthy, each person requires on average, four appointments with AFC’s dentist.
