As an AFC patient, Lynne was referred to long-time AFC community partner, Dermatology Associates for a “suspicious” area on her back.  Because her physician took time to explain the condition and the biopsy procedure, Lynne says she was amazed how relaxed and reassured she felt.  Following removal of the area, she received a confirmed diagnosis of basal cell cancer. Lynne, who spends much of her time caring for her elderly mother, says she’s grateful that she received such excellent care.  “I understand the importance of early detection and my own responsibility to take care of myself,” she says. “But I’m so very thankful that AFC was there with the special care I needed.”
