“On behalf of the Board of Directors of AFC, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Nancy White as the new Executive Director,” said Kevin Sullivan, AFC Board Chair.  “Nancy is well known to AFC as a long-time volunteer and a devoted supporter of AFC’s mission.  Twelve years ago Nancy teamed up with Marymount University faculty to develop the physical therapy program at AFC.  Since then she’s been a committed volunteer who continues to regularly see patients.  We look forward to having Nancy lead AFC as we move forward in our mission to provide high quality health care to low income uninsured Arlingtonians.”

As Executive Director of AFC, White will oversee an organization that provides high quality medical care for over 1,700 individual patients annually.   Last year, medical services were provided by over 600 volunteers, providing over 18,000 hours of service.

“It is an honor and a privilege,” says Nancy White, “to continue the legacy that was begun 21 years ago by Nancy Sanger Pallesen and the scores of committed volunteers and staff members.”  As a member of the Arlington community for more than 25 years, Nancy looks forward to leading AFC as it continues to make a difference in the lives of the patients it serves.
